JOHN

Hello, my name is John Marques. I was born and raised in Venezuela. I obtained my B.S. in Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002. Soon after, I worked as a missionary for 3 years and then joined DELL computers doing Sales & Support.

In 2009, I obtained my insurance license and worked with USAA for 4 years serving the military and their families. In 2013, I was recruited by Florida Farm Bureau Insurance, where I grew my knowledge of Commercial and Life Insurance.

I now run Preferred Florida Insurance as Managing Partner. As an entrepeneur myself, I take pride in helping small business owners with all their insurance needs!

I live in Palm Bay, FL. My beautiful wife Cheri and I have 4 kids, one of which works with us now. (see Lilly’s bio). I love going to the beach, playing piano and going on walks with my wife and our dog Biscuit!

ASHLEY

Hello, my name is Ashley Fragata. I was born in California and made my way over to Florida in 2012. I got to know John in 2019 when we went on a missionary trip to Tanzania, Africa. That was quite an adventure! My insurance journey started in 2021 when John asked me to join the agency.  I started as an assistant and then transitioned to General Lines Agent which is my current role full time.

I am married with two kids and two crazy dogs. When I am not working, I enjoy playing World of Warcraft with my family or some other online game. We are a gamer family! I love watching movies or listening to music. I also love YouTube painting! If you don’t know what that is…I watch someone else paint and then try to paint along…horribly.

LILLY

Hi, my name is Lillian Rodriguez-Marques but I go by Lilly. I grew up in Central Florida but recently moved to the Melbourne Area. I am loving the beach and all the experiences of being somewhere new. After I graduated High School at the top of my class, I decided to get into the insurance business as soon as I could (thanks dad for the opportunity). I started out as Agency Assistant and after a few years of working in the industry, I passed the 220 General Lines exam! I am looking forward to building my book of clients with the agency from now on as a full-time agent.

In my free time, I enjoy writing all types of literature and am currently working on my first Epic Fantasy Novel. I hope to have it published by the end of 2026. I will always do my best to serve each client I interact with at any capacity with the best care and providethe best coverage possible on an individual level.
