About Our Founder
Hello my name is John Marques. I was born and raised in Venezuela. I obtained my B.S. in Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002. Soon after, I worked as a Christian Missionary for 3 years and then joined the corporate world of DELL computers doing Sales & Support.
In 2009, I obtained my Florida Insurance License and worked with USAA for 4 years serving the military and their families. In 2013, I was recruited by Florida Farm Bureau Insurance, where I grew my knowledge of Auto, Home, Life and Business Insurance.
I now run Preferred Florida Insurance as Managing Partner. As an entrepeneur myself, I take pride in helping small business owners with ALL their insurance needs!
I live in Debary, FL. My beautiful wife Cheri and I have 2 kids of our own and 2 girls that we adopted recently!
When I am not doing insurance, you may find me playing bass or running sound at church, swimming in the pool with the kids or working on some never ending project in our home…. really.
